Rainbows

Nature is Non-Binary

“Rainbow” (2019) Spectrum collection. Gouache and acrylic on hotpress paper.

Rainbow is a color. Y’all can’t tell me different! Octopuses literally see with their skin which is how they are able to change colors and textures. They don’t just camouflage though. These color and texture changes also reflect their thoughts and emotions. So I relate to cephalopods like this octopus here. They’re nestling into a bed of flowers and plants and animals arranged in a spectrum of colors. Nearest the octopus is pastel and colors darken as they move out to the perimeters. As always, all colors depicted are true to life naturally pigmented animals and plants. That’s the point. My art is my skin and it reflects back what I see in my world, and my world looks like this rainbow.

A Rainbow of Butterflies

Why, yes! I AM a huge Mariah Carey fan. Why do you ask? LOL.

I took every butterfly I’ve ever painted and spent a solid 3 hours organizing them into this poster. This design is not available for licensing unfortunately (as it pulls butterflies from licensable designs but if you are interested in commissioning a similar design please contact me and we can discuss.
